I am a miscarriage survivor and I create crochet slippers to honour babies gone too soon.

What inspired you to start your business?

After experiencing multiple miscarriages and the birth of our rainbow baby, I wanted an outlet to share my story and honour the babies we lost.

What is something you would say to someone who is struggling in their first few years of business? Is there something you struggled with and learned from in those first few years?

Don’t be afraid to share your story. Your customers want to connect with the person behind the business. Don’t be afraid to show your face and show your customers that you are a real person with trials and struggles - your customers will connect with that. Figure out who your ideal customer is, and constantly speak to that person. You will have lots of people coming to you with various requests and demands, but if you know who your ideal customer/audience is you’ll know where to say no and where to say yes.

What hobbies, causes, or activities are you passionate about aside from your work?

Miscarriage awareness, breaking down the silence. I also enjoy writing, reading and learning about the enneagram!
