I’m a well-rounded life + biz coach for creatives that aspire to create and live with grace, passion, and purpose. Through coaching and the A Well-Rounded Life podcast, I find joy as the support and encouragement for entrepreneurs seeking a thriving business and more time to focus on what matters most!
What inspired you to start your business?
After being in the wedding industry for over a decade, I knew that I wanted to mentor other wedding professionals and creatives in an industry that is dear to my heart. I would often receive inquires from wedding planners and colleagues seeking business advice from me. When thinking about the fact that life is too short to play small, I decided to shift from being a planner to making an impact by working with clients on the backend.
Working with creatives to fulfill their small business and entrepreneur dreams continues to inspire me every day. Ultimately, my late mother is who inspired me to start my business. Her legacy and the impression she made are what inspire me to do as she did, which is to serve others selflessly.
What is something you would say to someone who is struggling in their first few years of business? Is there something you struggled with and learned from in those first few years?
In my first few years of business, I struggled with being seen by my ideal clients. It wasn’t until I aligned with the right community, educators and fellow coaches that my vision and path were made clear.
My advice to someone that may be struggling in their first few years of business is to find someone that is where you aspire to be, hire them as a coach/mentor or learn as much as you can from your ideal mentor and peers. Learn from those that have come before you so that you don’t have to reinvent the wheel. Outsource as much as you can and implement systems and workflows in your business so that you may streamline your processes and work more efficiently.
What hobbies, causes, or activities are you passionate about aside from your work?
I’m huge on family time and traveling. For the past twelve years, my hubby and I have had a date night each week. My children and I have our own dedicated time to connect and just to have fun!
I love to travel as well and find joy in girls’ trips with my girl gang throughout the year.
As I lost my mother to breast cancer a few years back, I’m passionate about breast cancer awareness.
