Mom Mentor & Content Strategist - Happily Hafsa

I help moms go from surviving motherhood and looking at it as something to manage to thriving and looking at motherhood as their superpower.

What inspired you to start your business?

I found that there was a huge gap in the digital coaching/mentorship space where I didn't see women like me (mom/POC/plus-size/hijab wearing) represented outside of basic influencer type stuff. I wanted to create a place where women could come and see that anything is possible, regardless of your life situation and appearance.

What is something you would say to someone who is struggling in their first few years of business? Is there something you struggled with and learned from in those first few years?

The best advice I've ever received when I was struggling with my business is that the only thing standing between you and your dream business is consistency. As a new business owner, sometimes, it can be so easy to get distracted or discouraged when the results aren't immediately forthcoming. But consistent action not only brings clarity, but it also helps you make progress even if it's not immediately obvious.

What hobbies, causes, or activities are you passionate about aside from your work?

I love to read and am a huge fan of classics like Pride and Prejudice- basically anything by Jane Austen. I love photography and it's been a passion of mine since I picked up my first Canon Rebel in 2000. I am extremely passionate about supporting and empowering women, especially those women who come from a South Asian background like me and who have spent a lifetime being a victim of patriarchal structures and belief systems that only serve to limit the female potential. I also volunteer with local grassroots organizations focusing on child literacy and safety.
