I'm a San Francisco native, currently living in Austin with my husband and our rescue pup, Kennedy. Travel is a big part of my life (I'm taking my team to Barcelona in October to live/work for the month!) and we work hard as a family to prioritize it. I went to art school for undergrad and can't believe I built a real business out of it!
What are you best known for?
I think I'm known as a tastemaker, helping female business owners navigate a stylish life without compromising their career. My blog extends far beyond just branding and web design tips. I share size-inclusive fashion tips, affordable interior design, interviews with industry leading women, and business advice.
What or who has influenced your design aesthetic the most?
Definitely interior design. As branding and web design seems to get brighter, busier and more in your face, I'm always referring back to physical spaces to translate that back to my digital designs. Natural fibers, tactile textures, complimentary soothing palettes - these inspire me the most.
What inspired you to become a designer?
It wasn't exactly an option. After 3 years working as the Marketing Director at a luxury boutique real estate firm, I was fired for receiving a job offer from a local lifestyle brand. Not only that, they got the lifestyle brand to retract my offer. It was awful and hurtful and the greatest thing that ever happened to me. I knew right away I couldn't go back to working for another company. I wanted to be in control of my creativity, my salary, and who I worked with.
