The Blushing Details is focused on creating an elegant and whimsical wedding for modern day couples. My goal is to guide couples in creating a fun-filled, stress-free environment with flawless creativity and focused attention to even the smallest of details.

What inspired you to start your business?

I’ve always been passionate about the event planning industry from a very young age. That passion has allowed me to be recognized very early on as someone that could be relied upon to support events that I was asked to design as well as run. Based on similar experiences over the years, I continued to learn more and more what it took to be successful. I was a co-founder and a director for a dessert catering business for about 5 years and those particular positions were benefited by those prior experiences. I was always familiar with the wedding and event industry.I didn’t start branching out as a Wedding Planner until I got married 4 years ago. It all started when I wrote a wedding blog on different things that you can do during the cocktail hour.The exposure of that blog got more and more people interested. Soon after, a few brides and friends were reaching out to me asking me if I was a Wedding Planner. It was here that I thought about actually having a Wedding Planning business and that turned into the genesis of The Blushing Details that many people know today.

What is something you would say to someone who is struggling in their first few years of business? Is there something you struggled with and learned from in those first few years?

My advice is to ask for guidance and join a group that aligns with your values. It’s easy to lose sight of your goal by comparing your business to everyone else. The most important thing I have learned is to focus on yourself and your business. Generally speaking, nothing is ever totally easy owning a business. Whatever challenge each experience brings, I’ve been able to learn, maneuver, pivot, and generally adjust so the outcome is beneficial to my clients and business.

What hobbies, causes, or activities are you passionate about aside from your work?

I am currently a Co-leader of the Pasadena’s Tuesday Together. I take pride in planning and helping organize free education for our members. Every month we increase our attendees and I am excited to partner up with several venues and vendors in Pasadena and the surrounding area that support our creative community.I am also part of the Alumni Booster Club for my High School Choir. I help planned and organized fundraising events to raise money for the student who can’t afford their uniform, trips, props, and summer workshop. Not only do I support the community, but I have also sponsored several businesses by planning events, fashion show, styled shoot, and open house.
