We provide hairstyling and makeup services in California, Las Vegas, Hawaii & destination locations. I also help Wedding Hairstylists and Makeup Artists get organized in their business and increase their bookings using Instagram.
What inspired you to start your business?
I was inspired by a combination of a couple things.
I had been working in a salon for 8 years and it became very physically exhausting! I decided to solely focus on Weddings and build my company around a Team concept so that I wouldn't have to exhaust myself and also have more time to spend with my family.
I also had been doing weddings at that time, for 8 years and have seen/ heard of a ton of horror stories. I knew that my mission would be to have a positive impact on our Bride's Wedding day, to provide high quality service and make the planning process as easy as possible!
What is something you would say to someone who is struggling in their first few years of business? Is there something you struggled with and learned from in those first few years?
In the first few years of business, there's so many things to do, it can easily get overwhelming. I would highly suggest working with a mentor who's knowledgeable in the industry and who's successfully built the type of business you're building. This way they help you create an action plan, gain clarity, accountability and minimize mistakes.
In my first year of business, I had an excellent marketing plan using social media, mainly Instagram marketing strategies. I went from not being known at all to being overwhelmed with bookings in about 8 months. I was overwhelmed because I DID NOT have an efficient system to keep track of my weddings and organize it all. I was introduced to HoneyBook and it changed my LIFE!! It's the number one tool I recommend to everyone because it solves SO MANY problems!
What hobbies, causes, or activities are you passionate about aside from your work?
When I'm not working, I'm actively involved with my church. I also enjoy traveling and making memories with my family!
