What inspired you to start your business?
Honestly, we needed money at the time, and even before I discovered the self help section of Barnes and Noble, I knew that I had to do something that I was actually passionate about. If there was no passion, I wouldn't be successful.
What is something you would say to someone who is struggling in their first few years of business? Is there something you struggled with and learned from in those first few years?
YOU are the MOST VALUABLE thing that you have to offer this world and your clients. Don't lose yourself in the comparison game that we all fall prey to, especially in the beginning. Remember at all times, who you serve and why you chose to serve them. Also, remember that as much as we love to work for ourselves for all of the obvious reasons (pants not mandatory, "set our own hours" 😂) but we have to always remember that this is still a SERVICE industry and if you don't have the heart to serve, you are in the wrong field.
What hobbies, causes, or activities are you passionate about aside from your work?
Plants! I have recently started learning how to actually care for plants and not kill them, and it has been amazing for me. It's something that I can do that's not related to being a wife or a mother or a business owner. It allows me to step away from my "responsibilities" and focus on something else.
