What inspired you to start your business?
I always had a passion for capturing moments. I love to look back at photos of the past and re-live those moments all over again. I started working primarily with business owners because I saw how I was helping to transform them and their business. I call my business, "My Ministry." It's not all about the bottom dollar for me. While yes, I know my worth and my rates are considered "premium." However, I give back to several entrepreneurs when I feel led + called to do so. And investing back in their business, seeing the transformation, is what fuels me to help even more business owners tell their story in the right "light."
What is something you would say to someone who is struggling in their first few years of business? Is there something you struggled with and learned from in those first few years?
I struggled with knowing where to invest my time. Finding clients was a huge challenge for me. But then I learned how to get them to find me. My advice to someone struggling in their first few years is to write down what you want to achieve within your business first! Then set a realistic measurable goal and create create create! I created what I wanted to book. I wanted high-end branding sessions, so I created those type of sessions and marketed the crap out of them! I would also tell them to invest in their business early on (i.e. education, equipment, CRM system). I waited four years to invest in my business and that was honestly a huge regret.Once I did invest, my business took off exponentially.
What hobbies, causes, or activities are you passionate about aside from your work?
Cooking healthy meals for my family but I'm a total hypocrite because I have a mean sweet tooth so baking is definitely a priority in my household. Spending time with my family is the most important thing to me!
