If you could tell your younger self something you’ve learned along the way, what would you say?
Be yourself no matter what people think, know your worth, be nice to people, and never forget that you're doing your best
What is the most unique or special place you’ve worked/done a shoot?
That's hard because every location was picked by clients because it's special to them. I've photographed sessions where first dates and proposals happened, where favorite date nights occur weekly, and where cozy nights snuggled up together happen every day. It's hard to pick one because they really are all so special for different reasons.
What inspired you to become an image maker?
It's honestly something that I just grew up with! In middle school my mom had a Nikon D5000 that I would always sneak away with, and from there my love for photography grew. I never thought I would be a photographer though, in my head I was going to be an art teacher. When I got to college and started second shooting weddings every weekend/booking my own clients, it hit me that this thing might be MY thing and all backup plans were out the window. I didn't see myself doing anything else, so I did what I needed to do to be a full-time photographer right out of college.
