Hello! I am a photographer and business owner. I run three small companies and I help others in the business achieve their goals through mentorships, free groups, and overall encouragement. I feel we are all stronger together and I want everyone to succeed and live a life they really love. I am a mother to 5 children, a wife and we have a rescue pup and we live in Tacoma, Washington.
If you could tell your younger self something you’ve learned along the way, what would you say?
Your worldview is going to change drastically over the years if you remain open to listening to others and their stories. Be a sponge, lean into the change. You will find so much more love and understanding for others, and even for yourself. This will give you a peaceful life. The one thing that will not change for you over the years is your constant urge to helps others. Answer that call. It will gift you some of the most wonderful people and perspectives this life has to offer. Oh, and say yes to that one guy you wanted to say no to because you thought you were too busy. He's the one.
What is the most unique or special place you’ve worked/done a shoot?
Any photos involving my children. Just basic, playing around the house or on vacation at the beach or in a cabin playing monopoly. Of course, I love creating gorgeous art and those images are exciting, but these basic images of my children are the most special to me and give me the most purpose.
What inspired you to become an image maker?
I've always enjoyed it and loved taking photos, then I would take them for my friends for free and would say to my husband "Wouldn't it be amazing if this was a job? Taking pictures then sitting at home and editing them? That would probably be my dream life." That was 9 years ago and I've been living the dream ever since (with lots of ups and downs and lessons along the way).
