I help businesses find the problem they solve, and then market it to the right people. I'm a digital marketer offering fresh perspectives through email campaigns, instagram strategy and facebook ads.

What inspired you to start your business?

I had run a couple of businessess before this business and loved the marketing and analytics side of those other businesses better then the product itself. Everyone was soon asking me who did my marketing for the other business and so I saw an opportunity to teach (I wanted to be a teacher when I was younger) and fulfill my passion of marketing and helping other business owners!

What is something you would say to someone who is struggling in their first few years of business? Is there something you struggled with and learned from in those first few years?

Don't be afraid to pivot your business. Don't see a 'failed' business venture as a failure. See it as an opportunity to create another business. I tried to start a sports league app a few years ago and it pivoted into a digital marketing agency business. Even though I wasn't the success I thought I would be with my app, I was able to learn so many valuable lessons from my mentors and that business to pivot to this new business. You also have to allow yourself to listen to your customers. Even if you think you know your business best, sometimes your customer is telling you their pain point and it's up to you to pivot your business and listen to them to solve their problem for them!

What hobbies, causes, or activities are you passionate about aside from your work?

I love fashion. I've run 4 fashion show fundraisers, with over 50 volunteers, and 500 guests which raised over $120,000 for cystic fibrosis Canada. I also love reading. I am such a book worm and ALWAYS have to read a few chapters before bed. I have started numerous book clubs and always set a goal of reading 52 books per year, although I have yet to make that goal yet! Ha.
