What inspired you to start your business?
Honestly, a combination of not being able to picture myself sitting in a cubicle 8 hours a day, and truly wanting to serve the world with my talents and gifts. So, I guess you could say wanting more autonomy and to leave an impact.
What is something you would say to someone who is struggling in their first few years of business? Is there something you struggled with and learned from in those first few years?
Oh yes, my personal struggle to find help as a small biz owner is what inspired my YouTube channel in the first place. I want to be the resource I wish I would have had in the first years of business. I would tell someone just starting out that: You have what it takes (no, really!), the world needs your unique gifts, the hard work you're doing now will pay off, and don't feel as if it has to look like anyone else's version of success. And then I would point them to my Youtube channel in a shameless plug because I KNOW it would help them.
What hobbies, causes, or activities are you passionate about aside from your work?
There is this incredible women's shelter and education center in Baltimore called The Well (also associated with Hon's Honey- they make delish honey!) who help women who have faced sexual exploitation, poverty, abuse, and addiction. They are 1 organization that has been placed on my heart to support this year.
