My wife and I founded GouletPens.com out of a desire to work together and raise our kids in an entrepreneurial environment. I love fountain pens, community building, Lego Technic, wood working, music involvement at my church, cycling, and helping others in my company to become the best versions of themselves.
What hobbies, causes, or activities are you passionate about aside from your work?
I mostly have work pretty well integrated throughout my life. My faith is a huge part of what drives me, and I'm active in music at my church. I love photography and videography, and so some personally as well as for work. I do some deeper technical trade work around customizing and repairing pens. I love spending time with my kids, teaching them wood working and life skills. I'm also a huge Lego Technics fan! Basically, I love building and creating.
What’s something you do at your business that’s "weird" and not commonly done?
The video production and engagement with my community. As CEO I'm pulled in a lot of directions every day, but I'm still very passionate about staying plugged in and bringing value to my community. I openly share what I know and personal inspiration with my community on a daily basis.
What inspired you to start your business?
It was very humble, I wanted to work a business with my wife where we could teach our kids entrepreneurial traits. I never imagined it would grow into what it is, never. It's been absolutely mind-blowing to think of what Goulet Pens has become, not only to the people that work here, but to the online pen community as a whole.
